Sun, Tues, Weds, Thurs.

$16 per hour

The Effingham Chrome Shop is currently seeking a Retail Cashier to work in our newly renovated chrome shop, which is filled with the latest in new and exciting truck accessories! This individual must be energetic, enjoy interacting with customers, and help them select truck accessories for their big rigs.

• Assist customers with the selection and purchase of merchandise, providing knowledgeable and friendly service
• Straighten, stock, and price merchandise to maintain a clean and organized sales floor
• Reset and organize product displays to ensure visual appeal and merchandising standards
• Learn and stay informed about product features, uses, and pricing
• Receive stock deliveries, unpack merchandise, and participate in regular inventory counts
• Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and other transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through assigned cleaning duties
• Consistently deliver exceptional customer service in all interactions

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Friendly, helpful personality with a strong willingness to assist customers promptly and courteously
• No prior experience necessary — we provide on-the-job training
• Previous retail or register experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with coworkers
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours during scheduled shifts
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs safely and repeatedly as needed
• Must be able to climb ladders and perform tasks at various heights
