We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our outpatient services team.
Position SummaryThe Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care to adult individuals in an outpatient setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and primary care providers—to ensure comprehensive, coordinated treatment plans for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up appointments for outpatient clients.
- Provide telepsychiatry services using secure, HIPAA‑compliant platforms.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with behavioral health team members and refer patients to appropriate internal or external resources as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in case conferences, supervision, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication adherence.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in NJ.
- Certified in specialty.
- DEA license with the ability to prescribe psychiatric medications.
- Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred (new grads with strong training and interest in outpatient care may be considered).
- Comfortable with telehealth platforms and remote patient care.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
