• $20,000 Sign‑On Bonus

The hospital pharmacist ensures accurate and timely distribution of medications and other pharmaceutical supplies according to established procedures and standards, supporting high‑quality patient care. The pharmacist interprets, evaluates and verifies medication orders, assesses drug‑drug, drug‑allergy and drug‑disease interactions, and provides drug information to clinicians and patients. The pharmacist maintains accurate records on all patient profiles and controlled substance inventories, manages emergency drug supplies and dispensing machines, and ensures medication security on nursing units.

The pharmacist directs and verifies the pharmacy technician’s work and participates in clinical programs such as anticoagulation management, pharmacokinetic monitoring, adverse drug event monitoring, patient care rounding, pharmacotherapy optimization and general medication safety.

  D) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
• License/Certification:
  Current New Jersey State license as a Registered Pharmacist required. ACLS Preferred, CPR Preferred for Hospital Pharmacist.
• Experience:
  
  Two years’ experience preferred. Two years hospital experience preferred. Demonstrates an in‑depth understanding of work processes. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at hire; training provided and competency assessed within 90 days of hire.

Potential exposure to hazards of the hospital environment, including infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury. Requires the ability to stand approximately 60% of the time and occasional reaching.

This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
