Excelcare Egg Harbor is a skilled nursing facility committed to delivering exceptional care and fostering a supportive, engaging environment for our residents. We believe that meaningful activities are essential to enhancing the quality of life, and we’re seeking a dynamic Activities Director to lead this important area.

The Activities Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive activity programs that meet the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of our residents. This role requires creativity, organization, and a genuine passion for working with the elderly population.

• Develop and oversee a monthly calendar of diverse and engaging activities
• Coordinate individual and group programs tailored to various resident interests and abilities
• Supervise and train activities staff and volunteers
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy departments to promote participation and integration
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident attendance and program effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to therapeutic activities

• Experience in long-term care or geriatric programming preferred
• Certified Activity Director (or eligibility to obtain certification) strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to motivate and engage residents with varying levels of cognition and mobility
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines applicable to activity services in skilled nursing
