Joining us as a Multi-Unit Team Leader
, you will provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. Using your people management experience and passion for helping people, you will guide customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business. You will serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.

You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, you will transition to full-time, including evenings and weekends as needed. Please note that this role is not remote and will require in-person work.

Responsibilities
  • Lead three tax offices and the customer-centric teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business.
  • Provide leadership and development of associates; deliver outstanding client experiences; achieve office growth objectives for three offices.
  • Lead daily team meetings; communicate essential information to tax office associates; create and manage associate work schedules and timekeeping; labor management.
  • Travel between offices as required; assist with tax returns as needed after completing the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
  • Manage staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and community involvement.
  • Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with the Associate Relations Center.
  • Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates and recognizing outstanding contributions.
Qualifications
  • People management experience with demonstrated ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Ability to execute growth plans and lead toward a growth culture.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; customer-centric mindset that seeks to understand and exceed client needs.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
  • Multi-unit people management experience in the retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry.

Pay and Other Information
  • Pay range: $15.00 - $40.00 per hour (local minimum wage laws apply). The range may vary by experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Some eligible employees may participate in incentive plans.
