The University cannot issue a Certificate of Sponsorship. Therefore, the appointable candidate must be eligible to work in the UK or have leave to remain in the UK and the associated right to work for the duration of their employment, in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.
The successful candidate will be working within the University and residential Postrooms. They will deal with service requests from students, visitors and staff, respond to customer enquiries using the university's computerised system, sort, process and hand out deliveries, build a good knowledge of campus to help and direct couriers, and perform a range of administrative duties with great attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Deal with service requests from students, visitors, and staff via the university's computerised system.
- Sort, process, and hand out deliveries to students and customers through the computerised postal system.
- Build knowledge of campus and assist couriers with deliveries around the university.
- Perform a range of administrative duties with great attention to detail.
- Provide first‑class front‑line service during peak times while remaining calm and focused under pressure.
- Previous experience in a similar customer‑focused role such as a postroom or reception.
- Commitment to delivering inspirational customer service.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Well‑organised, proactive, an engaging personality, and a team player.
