ResponsibilitiesAs a Disability Adviser, you will work within the Directorate of Student Life to support disabled students throughout their time at university, providing specialist advice, guidance and information. Key duties include:
- Responding to and advising on disability support related matters for current and prospective students.
- Contributing to student recruitment, retention and attainment by ensuring inclusive practices and reasonable adjustments are implemented effectively.
- Engaging proactively and supportively with students on campus, both in person and remotely, to provide ongoing advocacy and support.
- Collaborating with other student‑facing teams (e.g., Active Lifestyle & Sport, Chaplaincy, Counseling & Mental Health, Hall Life, Student Casework, etc.) to deliver a seamless student experience.
- Demonstrating the University’s values – daring, innovative, open and respectful – and championing equality, diversity and inclusion.
We are seeking a candidate who possesses a strong knowledge of the disabled student experience and has demonstrable experience in assessing and implementing reasonable adjustments. Desired qualities include:
