As a Visiting Lecturer, you will work for the University of Law on an hourly rate basis on a worker contract. Reporting to a member of the Law School Management Team, this role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about engaging with students through teaching and assessment within an academic setting, alongside other professional or personal commitments, or who are seeking a flexible work schedule with limited contact hours.
You will enjoy being challenged (by students and course content in equal measure) and be able to adapt to the different needs of students and methods of course delivery. You will be eager to share your expertise, and the role will include marking in-course assignments and final assessments, as well as supporting students and responding to queries.
The hourly rate for this role is up to £71.39 per hour for teaching, inclusive of preparation, associated marking and responding to student queries.
Our ApproachWe are committed to ensuring our workforce is reflective of our diverse student population, striving to increase the representation of age, disability, gender identity and expression, religion, race, sex, sexual orientation, and socio-economic background of our employees.
We’re also committed to providing adjustments to those who may require support during the recruitment process.
Please note:
For this opportunity, you must be able to prove you have the right to work in the UK. Some posts within the University are subject to a DBS check; you will be notified of this during the application process.
