The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to take ownership of capital projects across mechanical systems, site utilities, and infrastructure. Reporting to the CAPEX Leader, you will manage projects end-to-end - from concept and design through to installation and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities Support long-term CAPEX planning, including project selection and prioritisation Develop engineering solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders Produce cost estimates (30% early stage, 10% detailed) Lead Management of Change (MOC) processes Manage contractor selection and vendor engagement Oversee full project lifecycle: design, construction, commissioning Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and delivery performance Maintain full technical documentation (P&IDs, SOPs, SLDs, etc.)
Track budgets, control costs, and report on financial performance About You 5 years' experience in a Project Engineering role (industrial/manufacturing environment) Strong knowledge of steam systems and process pipework Mechanical qualification (HNC/HND/City & Guilds or equivalent)
Experience with ATEX environments (desirable) IOSH or NEBOSH qualified (or working towards) Proven contractor and stakeholder management experience CAD and SAP experience preferred Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office) Additional Benefits Enhanced maternity, paternity & neonatal pay Paid emergency dependants, carers, and bereavement leave Employee Assistance Programme (mental health, legal & financial support)
