Overview
Our client are looking to strengthen their SHEQ team with a Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor. Based throughout the Anglian region we are seeking someone who will fulfil the day-to-day H&S duties and contribute to the management and development of the regional safety strategy. As the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, you’ll improve SHEA awareness and behaviours and strengthen team collaboration and development across all areas of the business.
Acting as an ambassador for the LIFE principles, you’ll provide a direct and visible link between LIFE strategy and delivery outcomes. You will report directly to the Health and Safety Manager.
- Support operational teams in development of their safety behaviours consistent with the Safety element of the LIFE strategy.
- Facilitate open communications and identify behavioural opportunities to ensure a safety-driven culture is installed.
- Complete site inspections and assurance visits ensuring legal requirements are upheld.
- Deliver a wide range of training and awareness programmes (e.g. LIFE orientation, Passport to work and site briefings) to increase employee confidence and capabilities.
- Develop and support a measure of the impact of the programme and how this contributes to growth.
- Actively participate in Pan-Alliance forums to share best practice and implement innovative behavioural safety initiatives.
To be considered for this key position, you’ll hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and a Technical grade (or above) membership of IOSH. With your CSCS Safety Professional card, you’ll possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to gain the trust and respect of colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
Passionate about safety, you’ll create environments where people and teams can prosper and will be open to providing support where required. A full clean UK driving licence is required to carry out site visits.
