Prepare accurate and competitive import, export and cross-trade quotations across Air, Ocean and Road Freight.
Source and negotiate rates with carriers, airlines, shipping lines, hauliers and strategic partners.
Ensure all quotations meet company margin and profitability targets.
Develop pricing solutions aligned to customer requirements and transit expectations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations for Air Freight, Ocean Freight and Road Freight services.
Manage import, export and cross-trade pricing requests across the global network.
Obtain competitive rates from carriers, airlines, shipping lines, transport providers and overseas partners.
Ensure all quotations are commercially viable and meet company margin expectations.
Analyse customer requirements and provide tailored logistics solutions to support business growth.
Support the Sales Team by providing pricing, market intelligence and responses to customer tenders and RFQs.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, overseas offices and internal stakeholders.
Monitor market conditions, carrier rate changes, fuel surcharges and industry trends to maintain pricing competitiveness.
Maintain and update pricing databases, carrier contracts and customer rate agreements.
Ensure all quotations comply with company policies, contractual requirements and operational capabilities.
Follow up on quotations and provide additional information where required to maximise conversion opportunities.
Work closely with Operations teams to ensure quoted services can be delivered effectively and profitably.
Produce reports on quotation activity, conversion rates, margins and pricing trends.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Deliver exceptional customer service and respond to all enquiries within agreed service levels.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 2-5 years' experience in freight forwarding, logistics pricing or commercial operations.
Demonstrable experience preparing quotations across Air, Ocean and Road Freight.
Proven understanding of import, export and cross-trade operations.
Experience working with overseas agents and global forwarding networks.
Strong knowledge of carrier rate structures, surcharges and market conditions.
Experience supporting RFQs, tenders and commercial proposals.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

Skills

Excellent knowledge of Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Road Freight and courier services.
Understanding of import, export and cross-trade movements.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Ability to analyse costs, margins and pricing structures.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple quotations simultaneously.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and freight management systems.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to provide tailored logistics solutions.
Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade practices.
