Position: Dutch Teacher (MBO 0,6 – 1,0 FTE)

Your impact as a Dutch teacher
  • You help students communicate with greater language proficiency and confidence in their future profession.
  • You make Dutch practical and relevant by connecting it to situations in healthcare.
  • You contribute to the development of students into professional and communicative healthcare workers.
This is what you will do as a Dutch teacher
  • You teach Dutch to students in the Nursing and Healthcare Assistant (IG) programs.
  • You connect language proficiency as much as possible to recognizable situations from the study program and professional practice.
  • You help students develop in areas including speaking, writing, reading, and professional communication.
  • You guide and motivate students, tailoring your approach to differences in level, background, and learning needs.
  • You develop and update teaching materials and contribute ideas regarding contemporary and practice-oriented language education.
  • You work together with fellow teachers to ensure that Dutch aligns well with vocational education.

You work at Summa Zorg en Welzijn, where we train students for a meaningful career in healthcare. The connection with professional practice is central to our study programs. We work closely with healthcare organizations and incorporate developments in the field into our education.

You will work with various students and learning pathways. This makes your work varied and requires you to be able to easily switch between different levels and learning needs.

  • A salary in accordance with the MBO collective labor agreement, scale LB, between €3.713 and €5.495 gross per month based on full-time employment.
  • Year-end bonus of 8,33%, ABP pension fund, a laptop and phone on loan.
  • Develop yourself through training, a course or the annual development festival.

  • You have a second-degree teaching qualification in Dutch or are in the final phase of your teacher training.
  • You know how to convey Dutch in a practical and engaging way.

    You can cater to students' different levels, backgrounds, and learning needs.
  • You enjoy guiding young people in your development.
  • You create a pleasant and safe learning environment where students dare to practice and are allowed to make mistakes.
  • You enjoy working with colleagues and actively seek the connection between language education and the profession.
  • An affinity with care and welfare is a plus.
