Due to rapid growth in production and the continuous introduction of new machine platforms, the factory is expanding and undergoing significant upgrades. In this role, you will manage large-scale new build and refurbishment projects (CAPEX > €10M) and play a key role in shaping the future of the production environment.
You will be responsible for gathering requirements across the organization and driving these plans toward realization in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Job Mission In this role, you will ensure that manufacturing facilities meet both short-term and long-term requirements for the production of advanced machines.
You will align with engineering, planning, manufacturing, and external construction partners to ensure that all facility needs are clearly defined, communicated, and executed.
Job Description Design and develop factory environments from concept to realization, including full building infrastructure
Optimize layouts for efficient flow of parts and machines, minimizing bottlenecks and complexity
Support facility requirements in close collaboration with multiple stakeholders
Oversee high-level CAD designs for flexible production environments, such as assembly workstations and test areas
Apply concurrent engineering principles to implement changes in active production environments
Collect and translate equipment data (dimensions, utilities, connections, positioning) into clear facility requirements
Drive the design process in collaboration with real estate and construction partners
Manage execution of construction and upgrade projects, ensuring timely delivery
Lead scope changes related to budget, timeline, and project deliverables
Ensure compliance with local building regulations and requirements
Education Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s with relevant experience) in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or Applied Physics
Experience in facilities or a related field is required
Experience 5–10 years of relevant experience
Strong affinity with high-tech machines and complex production environments
Experience with plant layout and product flow optimization
Knowledge of cleanroom environments and associated requirements
Experience in designing and specifying cleanroom operations and facilities
Proficiency in CAD-based layout design
Personal Skills Strong project management capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to maintain a helicopter view
Team player with strong networking abilities
Experience with change management
Proactive, goal-oriented, and hands-on mentality
Structured and able to maintain clear overviews
Broad technical and business understanding
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
Customer-focused with a process-driven mindset
Able to influence stakeholders without formal authority
Entrepreneurial and self-driven
Resilient and persistent when facing challenges
