As a Mechatronics Test Engineer, you will focus on validating, testing, and verifying mechatronic systems in automotive, robotic, or industrial applications. You will ensure that actuators, sensors, drives, and embedded control systems perform reliably, safely, and according to specifications. This role combines expertise in Mechatronics and Control Engineering, and involves the use of test benches, measurement equipment, simulation tools like MATLAB and Simulink, and embedded system validation platforms.
Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and document testing of mechatronic components and integrated systems
Develop test procedures and validation protocols for sensors, actuators, and control units
Analyze test data to verify system performance, reliability, and compliance with specifications
Collaborate with design, control, and software engineers to troubleshoot and improve systems
Conduct system‑level validation on prototypes, test benches, and real‑world platforms
Ensure compliance with functional safety standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering
Experience with testing, validation, or verification of mechatronic systems
Knowledge of model‑based development, simulation, and embedded system testing
Experience with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, test benches, measurement equipment, or CAD software
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
Based in Europe required;
Netherlands‑based candidates preferred.
