Within this dynamic and international environment, you will be responsible for the creation of efficient, effective, and innovative solutions for new customers. This includes cost and price calculations for the solution. The focus is on offering warehousing solutions.
You will work closely with Business Development Managers and other teams and stakeholders to convince potential customers GXO is the right partner. This involves strategizing sales approaches, outlining solutions, and convincingly presenting them to potential customers.
You will join our Solutions Design team here in our Eindhoven Head Quarters and focus on solutions for the Belgium and Netherlands market.
What you do on a typical day as a Solutions Engineer- Create and present effective and efficient solutions including automation and innovation concepts for and to potential new customers or existing operations.
- Analyze and understand customer needs and requirements in their supply chain and translating that into warehousing concepts, including sustainability concepts.
- Create and deliver complete and correct cost models including P&L analyses for the created solutions.
- Work with all departments to collect the necessary information to design new customer solutions.
- Design solutions that include layout plans, 3D drawings, investment plans, productivity calculations, direct and indirect labor, implementation costs etc.
- Support during implementation processes for example by acting as the solution gatekeeper.
- 5 years’ experience in Solutions Design or Engineering role, in a logistics related environment.
- Bachelor/master’s degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics or equivalent.
- Experience with Business Development tender processes.
- Key competencies: be proactive, communicative, work structured and creative. Be passionate about innovations and new concepts, ability to present and convince people about your solution.
- Strong excel knowledge, preferably CAD and Autodesk skills.
- Fluent in English, Dutch out be advantageous.
