EDA Software Support Engineer

The System To Materials (STM) group bridges the gap from materials & manufacturing to systems to co‑optimize all steps from materials to systems. The STM office in Eindhoven focuses on physical layout and design rules, providing EDA solutions. This role seeks an Electrical Engineer or Computer Science expert to support our software.

Key Responsibilities   Communicate with end‑users to support software in the area of polygon‑level physical IC layout
Analyse and resolve software issues as reported by users
Create specifications for new or upgraded software features
Develop prototypes (in Python) for such features
Demonstrate software in these areas as part of the sales process
Travel to customers or trade‑shows for the above purposes
Communicate with R&D developers to create optimal specifications for new features
Implement work‑around solutions using Python
Key Requirements   BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, 5-10 years of experience
Experience in large (>=50 person‑years) software projects, working in a team
Understanding of IC physical layout
Insight into integrated circuit processing steps is a plus
Scripting in Python
Ability to demonstrate these key requirements
Travel: max two weeks per 2 months (≈20% of the time)
