Reliability Engineer

Key technical role for an innovative company
My client is looking for a Reliability Engineer focused on integrated photonic devices and modules. This is an exciting opportunity within an advanced photonics R&D scale-up.
This is an onsite position based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
Responsibilities   Define and execute reliability test plans for photonic integrated circuits, modules and assemblies
Perform failure analysis across optical, thermal, mechanical and electrical domains
Lead root‑cause investigations and translate findings into design and process improvements
Develop lifetime models using accelerated test and field data
Support customer and partner qualification requirements
Work closely with design, process, packaging and test teams
Contribute to design‑for‑reliability guidelines and continuous improvement
Build and maintain reliability data, reporting and test frameworks
Requirements   MSc or PhD in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics or related field
5+ years’ experience in reliability engineering for photonics, lasers or optical modules
Hands‑on experience with accelerated life testing and environmental stress testing
Familiarity with standards such as GR‑468, JEDEC and MIL‑STD‑883

Experience with supplier qualification and process improvement
Strong failure analysis and data analysis capability
