Calibration Algorithm Engineer

About this vacancy
As a Calibration Algorithm Engineer, you develop the models and algorithms that keep high‑tech systems performing at their peak. Calibration is essential in environments where nanometer‑level precision is required despite noise, drift, environmental variation and complex physical interactions.

In this role, you translate deep physical insight into calibration workflows, system identification methods and parameter estimation algorithms. You take responsibility for the complete calibration lifecycle from problem definition and simulation to experimental verification and integration into real‑world systems.

Your Responsibilities

Develop calibration algorithms based on physical modelling, system dynamics and statistical inference.

Build mathematical models that describe system behaviour, sensitivities and noise mechanisms.

Design and implement calibration workflows for sensors, actuators and subsystems.

Create algorithms for parameter estimation, drift compensation and cross‑sensor alignment.

Validate models and calibration strategies using simulations, lab experiments and real‑world datasets.

Collaborate closely with experts in sensing, optics, controls, data science, system engineering and embedded software.

Analyse calibration performance through sensitivity studies, robustness checks and uncertainty propagation.

Explore and evaluate new calibration approaches as technology evolves.

Clearly communicate architecture decisions and contribute to multidisciplinary design discussions.
