At Siemens eMobility Charging, we are driving the transition to sustainable transportation by building intelligent, reliable, and scalable charging infrastructure.
We electrify mobility for a better tomorrow.
As a global leader in eMobility charging, we deliver solutions across the full ecosystem—from high‑power DC charging infrastructure and AC solutions to digital services, fleet management, and connected charging platforms. Our ambition is clear: not just to keep up with the market—but to lead it.
To accelerate this journey, we are looking for a Director R&D Netherlands to lead our Charger Hardware, Power Electronic and System Development teams in Eindhoven.
Your role
As Director R&D, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of charging technology —ensuring speed, reliability, and performance at scale.
You will lead a highly skilled local organization while working within a globally connected Siemens eMobility R&D network, driving innovation across hardware, software, and system integration.
You will:
Lead and grow the Netherlands-based Power Electronic. Hardware & Charger System development teams
Drive the end‑to‑end development of high‑power AC and DC charging solutions
Contribute to and execute on the global product and technology roadmap
Ensure delivery on time, cost, quality, and performance targets
Drive cross‑functional collaboration across Software, Product Management, and Supply Chain
Foster a one‑team mindset across global R&D locations
Apply strong decision-making and escalation management in complex environments
Build a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning
What you bring
You are a strategic R&D leader with strong execution power and a passion for bringing complex products to market in dynamic environments.
At least 4 years experience in hardware and system development, ideally within power electronics or charging technologies
Proven track record leading multidisciplinary R&D teams (hardware, embedded systems, communication, mechanical design)
Strong knowledge of standards and regulations in high‑power charging systems
Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
Ability to lead effectively in a global, matrix organization, including indirect leadership
Strong stakeholder management and decision‑making capabilities
A drive to innovate, deliver, and continuously improve
What you can expect
At Siemens eMobility Charging, you will find an environment where innovation, ownership, and purpose come together.
Work on technology that directly contributes to a more sustainable world
Access to cutting‑edge charging technologies and global expertise
Strong focus on personal and professional development
Competitive compensation and benefits
31 days of leave and flexible working arrangements
Join us
The shift to electric mobility is accelerating—and at Siemens eMobility Charging, you will be leading the innovation behind it.
