As an Automotive Mechatronics Engineer, you will work on the integration of mechanical, electronic, and software systems within vehicles. Your focus will be on designing, developing, and optimizing mechatronic components and systems such as actuators, sensors, steering systems, braking systems, and integrated control systems to ensure high performance, safety, and reliability. You will work at the intersection of Mechatronics and Control Engineering, applying model‑based development and simulation tools such as MATLAB and Simulink to design and validate systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and integrate mechatronic systems in vehicles, including actuators, sensors, and control interfaces
Model, simulate, and optimize system behavior for performance, reliability, and safety
Collaborate with control engineers, software developers, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration
Conduct validation and testing on prototypes, test benches, and vehicles
Analyze system behavior, troubleshoot issues, and propose improvements
Ensure compliance with automotive standards, functional safety (ISO 26262), and regulatory requirements
What We Expect From You
Your Profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
Experience in designing or integrating mechatronic systems within vehicles
Knowledge of model‑based development, simulation, and embedded control systems
Experience with tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, CAD software, and testing platforms
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
Based in Europe required;
Netherlands-based candidates preferred.
