Your Responsibilities  As a Mechanical Architect / System Designer, you'll be responsible for defining, developing, and safeguarding the mechanical architecture of complex high-tech systems.
Translate customer and system requirements into innovative mechanical and mechatronic concepts.
Define and develop mechanical architectures for precision equipment.
Perform concept development, calculations, simulations, FEM analyses, and design optimizations.
Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate technical work packages.
Collaborate closely with System Architects, Electronics, Software, Mechatronics and Manufacturing Engineers.
Identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies throughout the development process.
Drive Design for Excellence (DfX), including manufacturability, assembly, cost, reliability and serviceability.
Support product development from concept through integration and validation.
Coach and mentor Mechanical Designers and Engineers.
Contribute to technology roadmaps, innovation initiatives and continuous improvement.
Company Profile  You will join an internationally operating high-tech engineering organization based in the Brainport Eindhoven region. The company develops advanced equipment for customers within the semiconductor, analytical, medical technology, and precision engineering sectors.
Working in multidisciplinary engineering teams, you'll contribute to the complete development lifecycle of complex systems—from concept and architecture to implementation, validation and industrialization.
Your Profile   Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
5-15+ years of experience in high-tech machine building or precision mechanics.

Experience with precision mechanics and mechatronic system design.
Strong experience with NX, Teamcenter, FEM, Matlab, 20-sim or comparable tools.
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Cost and Reliability.
Experience leading technical work packages or multidisciplinary teams.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Nice to have   Medical or analytical equipment
Motion systems

Personal Skills   Technical leader with strong analytical capabilities.
Strong communicator across engineering disciplines.
Coaching mindset with the ability to develop engineers.
Pragmatic and hands-on when required.
