As an NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer, you develop, test and optimize manufacturing processes to industrialize new products from design phase to mass production.

In this role, you are responsible for introducing mechatronic, (electro)-mechanical modules or even complete machines in our assembly facility to our customers in the semiconductor, analytical, and medical equipment industry, within the Brainport region and beyond. You work closely together with multidisciplinary design teams and colleagues in the factory to achieve an optimal result in terms of quality, delivery times and cost.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring from the start of the design that the product can be produced efficiently and meets the requirements agreed upon with the customer.

Setting up the assembly process and initiating and implementing improvements in various aspects throughout the process, with the goal of achieving efficiency and quality improvements.

Working closely together with other NPI Engineers, customers, project managers, and other colleagues.

Being the link between new production processes.

Ensuring a seamless transition from New Product Introduction to the volume production phase and pass it on to the Production Engineering team.

This is what you bring to the table

You hold a bachelor or master degree in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering.

At least two years in a similar role in the field of mechatronics.

Have extensive knowledge of assembly and production processes and the associated quality assurance, including the applied production resources and control/test equipment.

You are familiar with FMEA, 8D method, process capability, and statistical analysis methods such as SPC.

Have good communication and writing skills in both Dutch and English.

Be accurate and able to present your positions clearly and convincingly.

This is what you can expect in return from Sioux

Flexible working hours of 32‑40 hours per week in an inspiring environment.

You will work with passionate colleagues in an innovative environment on a variety of technologies and projects.

By combining our expertise in software, electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, mathematics and assembly, we make the impossible possible for our customers and get to work on challenging high‑tech projects.

You get a lot of freedom and responsibility; after all, you know exactly what you are doing.

Personal coaching and a training budget of €3000 per year, so that you can continue to develop yourself.

We also find it important to have fun together. We organize a lot for our employees, from family festivals and sparkling Christmas parties, to inspiring knowledge sessions for the high‑tech community.

You will be working at a prime location in the heart of the Brainport region. You will be working on the Sioux Campus and can use our Sioux Labs living room every day for lunch, sports, making music, and sharing your knowledge with colleagues in one of our Tech Labs.
