Job Description
As an Operations Engineer TEM, you will be part of a passionate and hardworking team in Eindhoven working with our ground‑breaking Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM)! Your work will allow you to actively chip in to the latest breakthroughs in Science, supporting manufacturing processes and ensuring timely, high‑quality system delivery.
You will support the production factory on multiple electronic issues, introduce product and process improvements, and collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Service, Logistics, Product Lifecycle Management, Quality, Sourcing and Supply Chain partners.
What will you do?
Provide technical support to the factory, ensuring Thermo Fisher can ship high‑quality systems on schedule.
Solve sophisticated electronic problems and ensure system specifications are met.
Collaborate with suppliers to tackle technical/quality issues and support the introduction of parts and modules into manufacturing.
Submit or implement engineering changes to improve quality, manufacturability, and component/module costs.
Create and maintain work instructions and define factory process flows.
Perform hands‑on assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and train personnel as required.
Support factory and field service engineers with initial builds, installations and upgrades of newly introduced systems and modules.
Support projects based on Product Management Process (PMP) and multi‑functional operations improvement projects.
How will you get there?
Demonstrable experience in engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates required skills.
Ability to cope with dynamics in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in creating technical user documentation and engineering reports.
Hands‑on and proactive mindset.
Analytical problem‑solving skills.
Experience in a high‑tech industry and working in a cleanroom environment.
Excellent English language skills (verbal and in writing);
Dutch is a huge plus.
Collaborative teammate with a pragmatic approach.
Experience in project management.
