Job Description As a Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineer – Aftertreatment, you will play a key role in the development and integration of advanced aftertreatment components and systems. The aftertreatment domain combines mechanical engineering, electronics, controls, and software, requiring close collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. In this role, you will contribute to both the continuous improvement of existing products and the development of future technologies.
Key Responsibilities Coordinate mechanical or mechatronic development activities in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Translate project objectives into clear technical requirements and work with suppliers to develop, validate, and implement solutions for successful market introduction.
Execute Six Sigma deliverables and drive structured problem-solving using DMAIC methodologies.
Initiate, coordinate, and guide validation and release activities to achieve project milestones.
Participate in and lead Simultaneous Engineering Teams.
Ensure components meet functional, emissions, reliability, quality, robustness, and manufacturability requirements.
Analyze development and test results, prepare technical recommendations, and present findings to stakeholders.
Support the successful introduction of new products while contributing to the continuous improvement of existing platforms.
Candidate Profile Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of three years of experience in product development, preferably within the automotive or high-tech industry.
Strong team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
Proficient in English; willingness to learn Dutch is considered an advantage.
The Opportunities There are two vacancies available within the Aftertreatment Engineering team:
Mechanical Engineer – Aftertreatment – Focus on the development, validation, and integration of mechanical aftertreatment components.
Mechatronic Engineer – Aftertreatment – Focus on the integration of mechanical, electronic, and control systems within advanced aftertreatment solutions.
Both positions offer the opportunity to work on innovative technologies within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, contributing to the development of next-generation powertrain and emissions systems.
What We Offer Salary of up to €7,000 gross per month, depending on experience.
36 vacation days.
