Shaping the Next Generation of High-Power EV Charging Infrastructure
At Siemens eMobility Charging, we develop high‑power fast chargers that enable the widespread adoption of electric mobility. Our technology powers charging applications ranging from public charging networks and commercial fleets to next‑generation ultra‑fast charging solutions.
As a Senior Power Electronics Architect & Technical Lead , you will define the power electronics technology at the heart of our products. You will shape architecture decisions, guide multidisciplinary engineering teams, and drive the development of high‑power conversion systems that set new benchmarks for performance, efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Working alongside experts in hardware, software, systems engineering, and mechanics, you will translate complex technical challenges into innovative charging solutions that have a direct impact on the future of sustainable transportation.
Your Challenge
You will take ownership of the power electronics architecture for our next‑generation charging solutions, leading critical technical decisions from concept through industrialization.
From converter topologies, power semiconductor technologies, and thermal management strategies to system integration and product validation, you will ensure that our charging platforms deliver industry‑leading performance, reliability, and quality.
As the technical lead, you will provide direction and coaching to multidisciplinary engineering teams, drive architectural trade‑offs, and guide the resolution of complex technical challenges. You will combine deep power electronics expertise with strong technical leadership to accelerate innovation and deliver robust, scalable products to the market.
Working closely with project leadership and engineering stakeholders, you will help transform ambitious product requirements into commercially successful charging solutions that power the future of electric mobility.
Technical Leadership
Own and define the architecture of high‑power AC/DC and DC/DC converter systems for EV charging applications.
Lead technical decision‑making regarding converter topologies, switching technologies, power semiconductor selection, thermal management concepts, protection architectures, and system reliability.
Establish architecture roadmaps for future charging platforms and power modules.
Drive architectural trade‑offs balancing efficiency, power density, performance, manufacturability, reliability, cost, and serviceability.
Ensure alignment between product requirements, charging standards, regulatory requirements, and technical implementation.
Support and mentor engineers in solving complex technical challenges across hardware, embedded systems, software interfaces, controls, and system integration.
Act as a technical authority during architecture reviews, design reviews, and critical development milestones.
Technical Project Leadership
Serve as the technical lead within multidisciplinary product development projects.
Work closely with Project Leads to align technical activities with project objectives and development milestones.
Identify technical risks early and drive mitigation strategies.
Lead root‑cause investigations and resolve complex technical issues.
Facilitate technical reviews, architecture assessments, and technology evaluations.
Support technical communication with internal stakeholders, suppliers, customers, and certification bodies.
Power Electronics Development
Lead the design, review, and optimization of high‑power power electronic systems and converter solutions.
Drive innovation in power conversion architectures, efficiency improvements, power density optimization, and system robustness.
Define solutions for high‑voltage power distribution, protection concepts, isolation strategies, and safety‑critical functions.
Guide the implementation of thermal management and cooling solutions for high‑power charging systems.
Support design verification, validation, certification, and compliance activities.
