About the Role:

As Senior Application Engineer at eyeo, you will play a key role in bringing eyeo’s breakthrough image sensor technology into real-world customer products and target-market applications. Your main purpose will be to help high-profile customer accounts successfully integrate, evaluate, tune, and industrialize camera systems based on eyeo’s NCOS® color splitter technology. Acting as a technical bridge between customers, product management, sensor development, ISP experts, and system engineering, you will translate customer requirements into practical integration paths and help demonstrate the value of eyeo technology in demanding camera applications.

You will work hands-on with customer engineering teams to support proof-of-concepts, reference designs, image quality optimization, benchmarking, troubleshooting, and ISP tuning. Internally, you will help feed market and customer learnings back into eyeo’s product roadmap, application collateral, evaluation platforms, and next-generation sensor requirements. This is a senior, customer-facing technical role for someone who combines deep imaging expertise with the ability to build trust with demanding customers and drive integration projects forward in a fast-moving start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical application support for strategic customer accounts in eyeo’s target markets, helping customers integrate eyeo image sensor technology into camera modules, platforms, and end products.

Translate customer use cases, system constraints, and image quality requirements into practical sensor, ISP, and camera integration recommendations.

Support customer evaluations, proof-of-concepts, demos, reference designs, and design-in activities, from initial technical discussions through successful implementation.

Perform camera bring-up, image quality tuning, color characterization, ISP parameter optimization, and benchmarking against customer and market expectations.

Collaborate with internal teams across product management, photonics design, sensor engineering, algorithm development, hardware, software, and industrialization to resolve integration challenges.

Capture customer feedback, technical gaps, and competitive insights, and translate them into product requirements, roadmap input, application notes, tools, and best-practice documentation.

Represent eyeo as a credible senior technical counterpart in discussions with high-profile customers, ecosystem partners, module makers, ISP vendors, and camera system integrators.

Qualifications:

Education:

Master’s degree in engineering, computer vision, imaging science, electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical field.

Experience:

7+ years of relevant industry experience in camera systems, image sensors, ISP pipelines, imaging applications, or customer-facing technical roles.
