Payroll Administrator

You are the specialist who masters the complexity of our payroll. With approximately 200 employees, cross-border workers in Germany and Belgium, and our bonus schemes, this is not a standard payroll process. It is a dynamic playing field in which your expertise is indispensable.

• Quality assurance
  :
  You ensure accurate, complete, and timely payroll processing, including pay slips, annual statements, and payroll tax returns.
• Identifying and resolving issues
  :
  You check the data supplied, identify any discrepancies, and resolve them. You implement control measures and procedures to ensure the reliability of the process.
• Legislation and regulations
  :
  You stay up to date on payroll taxes, social insurance, and labor law, and apply them correctly. You monitor compliance with Valid's terms of employment.
• Process and policy contribution
  :
  You identify opportunities for improvement and optimization within payroll processes and test updates in systems.
• Advice and support
  :
  You will act as a point of contact for colleagues in HR, Finance, and Fleet Management. You will provide clear, expert, and practical advice on salaries, legislation and regulations, and terms of employment.
• Financial processing
  :
  You will record payroll journal entries, make provisions, and prepare various financial reports.

What makes this role special? The direct impact on our financial administration. Your payroll processing delivers results that influence Finance. You post journal entries and wage-related reserves, work on reports at a detailed level, and maintain an overview of the whole. You understand how payroll administration and financial administration intertwine, and you act accordingly.

• Solid payroll experience
  :
  You have seen it in practice and know how complex payroll can be;
• Financial insight
  :
  You understand how payroll administration affects financial administration and can create payroll journal entries.
• Systemic knowledge
  :
  Experience with payroll systems and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new systems;
• Current knowledge
  :
  Payroll taxes, social security, and labor law are familiar territory for you;
• Accuracy and analysis
  :
  Excel is your workhorse, not an obstacle. You see patterns in numbers and identify where things don't add up.
• Independence with connection
  :
  You work autonomously on your process, but actively seek cooperation with HR and Finance where necessary.

• Salary: €3500 – €4500 gross per month (depending on experience)
