We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Data Steward for DLL’s Enterprise Data Warehouse, to safeguard and elevate the quality of our enterprise data landscape. In this pivotal role, you will champion high standards of Data Quality, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and trust in the data that powers our most critical business decisions and regulatory reporting.

You will play a central role in managing and optimizing our Enterprise Data Warehouse environment, collaborating closely with technical and business teams to ensure reliable, well-structured, and accessible data assets.

Day to day:
  • Analyse issues and provide clear information so that the relevant teams can resolve them, coordinating with subject matter experts as needed.
  • Managing raised issues, ensuring they are prioritized correctly, and providing timely updates to stakeholders. This also includes managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Strive for continuous Data Quality improvements in the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Identify and execute initiatives that enhance operational efficiency within the team.
  • Ensure sound data management standards are practiced and implemented in the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Cooperate with IT scrum team to drive continuous improvements of the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Address data processing issues in the Enterprise Data Warehouse to the right stakeholders and strive for structural solutions.
  • Execute on compliance needs of the Enterprise Data Warehouse regarding data privacy and retention and data management requirements.
  • Take the lead in assigned data management initiatives.

The following experience/skills are essential for the job:
  • Relevant education to minimum equivalent of master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Data Steward or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication, change and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiar with a multi-cultural and international environment.
  • Experience working with IT (SAFe/Scrum) and bridging the gap from business needs to functional solutions.
  • Excellent business English (both spoken and written).
  • Knowledgeable in SQL for data analysis.
The following experience/skills are nice to have:
  • Experience with tools such as SQL Server Management Studio, Databricks, Azure Storage Explorer, Purview, Informatica CDQ.
  • Knowledge and experience of Finance/Risk (BCBS
    239)/Asset Management.
  • Knowledge and (implementation) experience with DAMA-DMBOK.
  • Knowledge of data models.
  • Knowledge of data lineage tooling.
  • Experience with reference data management (RDM).
  • Experience with enterprise data warehouses.
  • A thorough understanding of and a strong network within the DLL organization.
