Job Summary
Our company is developing a cutting-edge wireless communication system to connect multiple portable devices. Long range, high data rates, low latency, resistance to interferences, and multipath make this problem particularly challenging, giving the candidate unique opportunities to research, design, and implement the next-generation radio communication systems.
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on IT Support Engineer to support day-to-day IT operations and provide high-quality technical assistance to employees. This role is primarily focused on user support, ticket management, and maintaining stable IT systems, while working alongside senior team members on more advanced infrastructure tasks when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for IT support requests; manage and resolve tickets related to hardware, software, and network issuesin a timely manner.
- Configure, deploy, andmaintainlaptops, workstations, and peripherals, including onboarding and offboarding support.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across systems, applications, and connectivity; escalate more complex issues when necessary.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to internal systems and tools.
- Automation and Optimization:
Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency. - Maintain and improve IT documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, researchers, and cross-functional teamstoensure
IT systems align with business goals and project needs.
- Expertise in Windows Server and Linux-based environments.
- Expertiseincloud (Azure, AWS) or hybrid (cloud-on-premises) infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, or Docker).
- Strong understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, DNS, DHCP,firewalls, etc.).
- Proficiency with logging and monitoring tools such (Zabbix, Prometheus,Graylogetc.)is nice to have.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Power Shell for automation tasks.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing startup environment, juggling multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges andimplementeffective solutions.
- Precision in managing and configuring systems to minimize risks and errors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, RHCSA, or AWS Solutions Architect will be a plus.
