Rubrik Backup & Recovery Engineer

Overview

As a Rubrik Backup & Recovery Engineer, you will:

• Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise-scale Rubrik backup and recovery environments in mission-critical infrastructures.
• Manage Rubrik Enterprise Data Protection Suite deployments, upgrades, maintenance, and operational support activities.
• Lead Rubrik CDM to RSC migration initiatives and support platform modernization programs.
• Build, configure, and manage Rubrik CDM clusters, ensuring high availability and operational resilience.
• Perform Rubrik cluster lifecycle management activities including upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Support ransomware recovery, cyber resilience initiatives, and disaster recovery strategies within enterprise environments.
• Monitor and optimize Rubrik platform capacity, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and manage API integrations, enterprise automations, and intelligent workflow solutions.
• Support REST and Graph
  
  QL API development and integrations across enterprise platforms.
• Integrate Rubrik solutions with enterprise systems including Mule Soft, Service Now, Splunk, and other SaaS platforms.
• Manage backup and recovery solutions for SAP HANA, Kubernetes, Oracle, MSSQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, VMware vSphere virtual machines, and Active Directory environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams to ensure business continuity and data protection objectives are achieved.
• Participate in Agile delivery processes and contribute to operational improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex backup, recovery, integration, and infrastructure-related issues while ensuring service availability and reliability.

• 6–8 years of experience in enterprise backup, recovery, data protection, and infrastructure management environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Rubrik Enterprise Data Protection Suite and enterprise backup solutions.
• Proven experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Rubrik CDM and Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC) environments.
• Experience performing Rubrik CDM to RSC migrations, cluster upgrades, deployments, and lifecycle management activities.
• Strong understanding of ransomware protection, cyber resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Experience managing capacity planning, performance optimization, and operational governance of Rubrik platforms.
• Hands-on experience with API integrations, automation frameworks, and enterprise orchestration solutions.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, Graph
  
  QL APIs, and enterprise integrations involving Service Now, Mule Soft, Splunk, and related platforms.
• Experience protecting and managing workloads across SAP HANA, Kubernetes, Oracle, MSSQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, VMware vSphere, and Active Directory environments.
• Understanding of cyber security principles, enterprise data protection strategies, and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with VMware, storage administration, cloud technologies, and Microsoft Azure networking concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments and enterprise-scale infrastructure operations.
