About the company
Our client is a leading global medical technology company with a long-established reputation for innovation in minimally invasive healthcare. Due to continued growth in their urology and gynaecology business, they are looking for an experienced Territory Manager to take ownership of key hospital accounts across the Southern Netherlands.
The opportunity
This is an account-focused role covering two closely linked therapy areas: urology (including endourology and stone management) and gynaecology, with a particular focus on hysteroscopy. You will be responsible for growing revenue and protecting margin across an established customer base, while developing new opportunities in both the operating theatre and outpatient settings. Working closely with urologists, gynaecologists, OR teams, department heads and purchasing, you will act as a trusted adviser, helping hospitals find the right clinical and operational solutions from a well-regarded product portfolio.
What you will be doing
Owning sales performance across your accounts and delivering against agreed targets
Building and executing strategic account plans for academic, top clinical and general hospitals
Driving new business in both urology and gynaecology alongside developing existing customers
Running on-site product demonstrations and supporting clinical teams in theatre and outpatient clinics
Tailoring solutions to the clinical needs of each department and supporting implementation
Working with internal specialist teams on proposals and public tender (aanbesteding) submissions
Negotiating commercial agreements within pricing guidelines and ensuring contract compliance
Keeping accurate CRM records, forecasting reliably and sharing insight on market and competitor activity
What we are looking for
Fluent Dutch and English
Based in the Netherlands, with the flexibility to travel nationally
Degree-level education (HBO/WO) or equivalent
At least 5 years of successful sales experience in medical devices, ideally urology and/or gynaecology
A track record of hitting targets in a hospital setting
Experience with Dutch hospital procurement, tenders and purchasing organisations
Strong negotiation, account management and relationship-building skills
Confidence engaging clinical specialists, department heads and commercial stakeholders
Self-motivated and well organised, comfortable working autonomously
Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Backgrounds that would suit this role
Urology or endourology devices, gynaecology or hysteroscopy products, minimally invasive surgical technologies, medical capital equipment, surgical or clinical product specialist roles, or hospital-based key account management.
Why apply?
You will join a globally respected healthcare business with a strong portfolio, real autonomy, and direct commercial ownership of important hospital accounts across two therapy areas, with excellent exposure to clinical leaders and strategic account work in one of the core business areas of the company.
