LHH is partnering with a well‑established real estate investment and property management organization to hire a Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple entities and investors.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Oversee allocations and ensure accuracy across complex ownership structures.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting packages.
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices for efficiency.
• Support the Controller with special projects, including acquisitions and divestitures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; real estate or property management preferred.
• Strong analytical and research skills with ability to see the big picture.
• Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Rent Manager, Yardi, MRI or similar ERP is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with leadership.
