Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH has partnered with a well-established and thriving organization who’s seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This position offers a blend of accounts payable, reconciliations, and audit support responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys taking ownership of critical accounting functions.

• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review, coding, data entry, payment processing, and vendor communications.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support 1099 reporting and related tax documentation requirements.
• Review and analyze expense accounts, helping ensure accuracy within the general ledger.
• Prepare financial schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for management and auditors.
• Maintain vendor records and accounting system data while supporting continuous process improvements.

• 3+ years of accounts payable experience.
• Knowledge of 1099 reporting requirements and vendor compliance documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software platforms such as Sage Intacct.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset.
