CommunityManager
Position Overview:
The Community Manager oversees the entire operations of a housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager, managing personnel, leasing, maintenance, financials, administration and risk management on site.
- Personnel Management – regular attendance, screen, hire, train, coach, develop staff, maintain schedules, performance management, promote harmony and quality job performance.
- Financial Management – achieve highest net operating income through cost control, revenue & leasing improvement, develop yearly operating budgets, monitor deposits, rent collections, vendor invoices, property close‑out and financial reports.
- Strategic Leasing Management – develop marketing plan, ensure effective leasing techniques, handle resident complaints, implement retention programmes, show, lease, move‑in prospective residents.
- Administrative & Maintenance Management – ensure accurate reporting, head emergency team, monitor service requests, maintain property appearance, plan resources, give direction to maintenance/rehabilitation activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or four years’ experience in the housing industry, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to perform on‑site software functions.
- Basic knowledge of Fair Housing laws and OSHA requirements.
- Regular communication, repeated motions of wrists, hands, fingers; ability to work overtime, weekends, nights (emergencies).
- Prolonged sitting or standing, moving between work sites, ascending/descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, step stools.
- Movement of objects up to 25 lbs., operating machinery or power tools, operating motor vehicles or golf carts, working in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, outdoor environments, hazardous chemicals.
- Reliable transportation due to emergency on‑call requirement.
$28,000 per year to $29,000 per year
Compensation & BenefitsAt Asset Living, compensation is based on skills, background, training, certifications and other factors. The offer is contingent upon the candidate’s experience. The package includes medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, 401K with employer matching, performance bonuses, paid sick days and company holidays.
