Position OverviewAJM Packaging Corporation, one of America’s leading manufacturers of paper products—paper plates, cups, bowls, and bags—has immediate openings for mechanically inclined individuals who thrive on troubleshooting and problem solving. Pay- $18.50/HR to start, reviewed at 90 days with a raise of up to $1.00/HR.
- Plus an additional $0.50/HR for every hire referred—with no limit on the number of referrals.
- Troubleshoot production machinery by visual and acoustic inspection to locate problem sources and determine corrective action.
- Repair or replace defective parts, clear paper jams, adjust paper, or take other corrective actions as needed.
- Set‑up and start‑up/stop production machinery after any interruption (e.g., maintenance, paper roll change).
- Check product quality regularly and after downtime to ensure proper machine functioning.
- Lubricate and clean machinery parts and perform preventive maintenance.
- Adjust machine components and control instruments as required.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Complete all other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
- Ability to train on the job and desire to advance within the company.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; prior factory/manufacturing experience a plus.
- Technical certifications (Electrical, HVAC, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics) are a bonus.
- Mechanically inclined, with strong troubleshooting and adjustment skills.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with hand tools.
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the role, with reasonable accommodation if required.
