We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to diverse patient populations. • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status exams, and risk assessments.
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and patient needs.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling tailored to individual or group settings, utilizing evidence-based approaches.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans.
• Manage patient care across multiple settings such as outpatient clinics, inpatient units, assisted living facilities, or telehealth platforms.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medication management, and coping strategies.
• Document all clinical encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
• English language proficiency is required for all clinical documentation, patient communication, and team collaboration. Arabic /Dari/Farsi language skills are strongly preferred but not required
• Proven experience in behavioral health, including managing patients with complex psychiatric conditions.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinical
  
  Works for documentation and patient management.
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration protocols, and monitoring for adverse effects.
• Experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
• Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments involving vital signs, mental status exams, and physiological evaluations.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and engaging patients effectively. Additional preferred skills include experience with telehealth platforms; familiarity with CPT coding; knowledge of Workers' Compensation law; expertise in acute pain management; proficiency in medical documentation standards; experience in hospital medicine or ICU settings; familiarity with infection control practices; and understanding of ICD coding systems such as ICD-10.
