Meat Cutter Mission:

• Communicate with patrons on a personal basis to understand their wants, needs, and desires
• Maintain a personal and family atmosphere in the store and be reliable for patrons
• Maintain sanitation and food safety
• Ensure the safe operation of all tools and machinery
• Rotate products and effectively merchandise the service and self-serve meat cases to maximizes sales
• Prepare all varieties and cuts of fresh meat to expected high standards

• 1 to 2 years’ experience in cutting beef, pork and chicken, and meat merchandising
• Possess a thorough overall knowledge of all value-added products, i.e., quality and ingredients
• Basic knowledge of technologically based equipment
• Ability to understand and use all needed machinery

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overheard and side-to-side for an extended period of time
• Must be able to move safely around equipment and possess dexterity in hands and fingers
• As dictated by business and need, must be able to work extended hours and varying work schedule
