Membership Specialist Imperial Valley

Position Summary

The Membership Specialist supports membership growth and retention in Imperial Valley and Southeast San Diego County by recruiting girls and adult volunteers, supporting volunteers, and building strong community partnerships. This role plays a key part in achieving council membership goals while ensuring delivery of the Girl Scout mission.

• Recruit and retain girl and adult members to meet annual membership goals.
• Implement targeted membership development and lead‑generation strategies.
• Support, mentor, and supervise service unit teams, troop leaders, and volunteers.
• Build relationships with community leaders, schools, organizations, and businesses to support recruitment.
• Provide guidance on Girl Scout policies, programs, and product initiatives.
• Promote council‑wide programs, activities, and fundraising efforts.
• Ensure Girl Scouting is inclusive, reflects diversity, subscribes to the principles expressed in the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and is in tune with the needs of girls in our pluralistic society.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in sales, membership recruiting, or a related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel locally.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Girl Scouting.

The pay for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 per hour DOE.
