• Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Performing preventative maintenance—replacing/rotating tires, lubricating/ replacing components, electrical repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Partnering with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
• Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).Valid driver’s license.
• Problem‑solving skills and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Understanding and compliance with Penske’s instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
• Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
• Full attendance is essential.
• Background check, drug screen, and DOT physical required; CDL holders subject to FMCSA clearinghouse review.
• Willingness to work required schedule, travel for training, and meet all safety qualifications.

• Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, sit for extended periods.
• Use hands routinely to grasp, reach, handle tools or controls.
• Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
• Operate under all weather conditions.
• Navigate workplace safely despite frequent movement of large trucks.
• Lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally; push/pull truck tires over 100 lbs.
