Main Responsibilities:- Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
- Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
- Performing preventative maintenance—replacing/rotating tires, lubricating/ replacing components, electrical repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles.
- Partnering with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
- Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisors.

- Well‑rounded training on a variety of OEM equipment (Penske’s Technician Certification Program is a Continuing Automotive Service Education provider).
- Advanced vehicle maintenance technology.
- Location and schedule flexibility.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).Valid driver’s license.
- Problem‑solving skills and comfort using tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding and compliance with Penske’s instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
- Full attendance is essential.
- Background check, drug screen, and DOT physical required; CDL holders subject to FMCSA clearinghouse review.
- Willingness to work required schedule, travel for training, and meet all safety qualifications.
- Move frequently; stand, walk, climb, bend, sit for extended periods.
- Use hands routinely to grasp, reach, handle tools or controls.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Operate under all weather conditions.
- Navigate workplace safely despite frequent movement of large trucks.
- Lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally; push/pull truck tires over 100 lbs.
