- Education: Associate’s degree in human resources or related field. Additional classwork in management type courses and benefit administration is also preferred.
- Experience/Skills/Abilities: One to two years’ prior experience in all functions of human resources, including payroll. Time and attendance experience in ADP preferred.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills - demonstrates group presentation skills.
- Conducts a variety of employee meetings concerning benefits and safety.
- Assists with and communicates audits and remedial actions to all employees.
- Demonstrates the ability to gather information from a variety of sources; analyze, organize and communicate required information in a clear and informative manner.
- Performs change reporting and communicates benefit information to employees.
- Conducts regular benefit enrollment and manages paperwork processing to Payroll.
- Works with production managers to determine open positions and post job bids.
- Assists with interviewing, screening and recruiting job applicants to fill open positions.
- Conducts orientation for new hires.
- Provides advice and counsel to employees on a variety of personnel issues.
- Conducts investigations and issues discipline under the direct supervision of the HR Manager when violations of contractual or legal issues, such as harassment policies, occur.
- Maintains compliance with corporate, state and federal employment regulations.
- Files corporate workers compensation claims and maintains SharePoint database.
- Qualifies employees for FMLA/STD and tracks leave.
- Completes payroll processing and assists with auditing of bi-weekly payroll.
- Manages daily attendance.
- Maintains HRIS.
- Establishes and utilizes frameworks and systems, including tools such as visual management, problem solving, standard work and kaizen.
- Adhere to and promote the HR Pledge.
- Cooperate and commit in a team environment to achieve goals and deliverables.
- Resolves difficult or complicated challenges using the problem-solving process.
