Job responsibilities include preparing and teaching Art Appreciation classes for mostly non-majors. The instructor will collaborate with the Art faculty, Ed Tech, and the Faculty Development Team as needed to ensure continued success. This is a part‑time faculty position, and the instructor may teach from one to three classes. Continued adjunct teaching is a possibility pending evaluation. Continued employment is contingent on adequate enrollment.
Classes are assigned based on seniority, but teachers’ preferences are considered. Butler has a Master Course in Canvas, our online learning platform. Free training is required.

Salary: $830 per credit hour taught (Commensurate with education and experience).

Required knowledge and skills:
Teaching experience is preferred.
Required experience:
18 hours of graduate level credit hours in Visual Arts (Studio, Art History, Art Education).
Required educational background:
The successful candidate should have a master’s degree in visual arts or a related visual arts discipline.
