Position Title Allied Health Adjunct Clinical Instructor

Job Duties

Job responsibilities include conducting training and assuring competency of students in a clinical setting and teaching clinical skills at area long term care facilities associated with Butler’s CNA and CMA courses. This is a part-time faculty position as a clinical adjunct instructor.

Special Instructions Summary Qualifications

Required knowledge and skills

Knowledge of CNA / CMA and KDADs course content and computer literacy required. Required personal attributes include integrity, emotional maturity, dependability, and effective communication skills. Knowledge of adult education methods and theories preferred.

Required experience

A minimum of two years of demonstrated nursing experience (at least one year in long term care) is required.

Preferred experience:

experience as teacher within a nursing related program or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.

Required educational background

A current license to practice nursing in the state of Kansas. Education at least one level above nursing courses being taught (i.e. LPN for CNA / CMA courses).

Preferred education:

ADN or BSN .
