Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week night shift contract in Kansas. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing laboring patients, fetal monitoring, and newborn care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
The Labor & Delivery RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process while collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
- Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections as assigned
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes
- Provide education and support to patients and families
- Document care accurately and in compliance with hospital policies
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and newborns
- Labor & Delivery RN experience
- NRP
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- BLS
- Active and unrestricted RN license
