Longo Lexus Express Lube Technician
We are looking for a candidate that can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment. The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing minor repairs and inspections on vehicles in a quick thorough manner, as assigned, and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and standards.
LocationLongo Lexus, El Monte, CA.
CompensationBase hourly compensation of $19.00 per hour with possibility of a production bonus based on individual or team performance. There is no fixed upper limit on the bonus.
Responsibilities- Perform minor repairs and inspections on vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications.
- Communicate with the management team, service consultant, and the guest at all points of service repair.
- Perform oil changes on guest vehicles.
- Inspect oil, cabin, air filters and vehicle fluid levels, replacing or replenishing as necessary.
- Check tire pressures and add air as needed.
- Rotate tires and inspect brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs.
- Perform a thorough check of guests vehicles, referring required repairs and preventive maintenance to the ASM.
- Document all work performed on the repair order and inspection sheet.
- Operate and maintain in good condition all lubrication equipment.
- Assist the service department as needed.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Achieve production objectives set by management.
- Maintain the assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
- Maintain high ethical standards in all actions.
- Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; automotive program or school required or currently enrolled.
- Minimum of one year automotive repair experience preferred; or a combination of education and experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance required.
- Proficient in basic mathematical principles: adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and determine causes of operating errors and appropriate responses.
- Great attention to detail and ability to read and understand instructions and information in English.
- California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, bending, reaching, and squatting.
