POSITION OVERVIEW

Oportun is currently seeking qualified candidates with customer service, cashier, sales, or hospitality experience for a full‑time Member Loyalty Representative role. Our team members focus on creating and generating a rewarding and unique member service experience, engaging in outreach activities and educating individuals about Oportun’s inclusive, affordable financial services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Welcome members with a warm greeting and provide quality member service.
  • Seamlessly process all transactions while following company policies and protecting member information.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team, exceeding daily lending and servicing goals.
  • Engage in outreach efforts more than 50% of the time at Oportun locations, partner sites, and community events to build relationships with local businesses and promote Oportun’s services.
  • Conduct outreach at local flea markets, community events, and Lending As A Service partner locations to increase awareness, capture leads, and assist with applications.

    Encourage store visits and assist with applications during community outreach and marketing events.
  • Assist potential members with iPad use or scanning QR codes during outreach to start new applications.
  • Maintain a clean and inviting work area through light housekeeping tasks such as trash collection, sweeping, mopping, and window cleaning.
  • Use a computer intermittently (approx. 3‑6 hours per day) for administrative tasks and member servicing.
  • Stand while assisting members; sit only during non‑member‑facing tasks.
  • Occasionally unpack and store office or cleaning supplies.
  • Travel between designated work locations within a reasonable commuting distance as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Outgoing, sales‑focused, and enjoys speaking with people.
  • Passion for helping members and prospective members through outreach and educational activities.
  • Available to work weekends and flexible with a rotating schedule set every two weeks.
  • Reliable attendance to support store operations.
  • Willing and able to work outdoors year‑round for outreach opportunities.
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, as needed.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate office equipment such as phones, scanners, and iPads.
  • Organizational skills for filing paper documents.

COMPENSATION

The base hourly rate for this full‑time position is $18.00 - $19.00. Rates are determined by role, location, and experience.
