Senior IT Auditor

Senior IT Auditor – El Monte, CA (Hybrid), direct hire through Solugenix.

Annual base salary range for California: $85,000 – $105,000 per year (actual compensation may differ based on skills, experience, and location).

The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for IT, Information Security and Integrated Audits, assisting Internal Audit management with project planning, execution and reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of IT/IS audit experience, including at least 2 years in the banking or financial services industry.
• Must possess a CISA, CISM or CISSP certification.
• Knowledge of IP network infrastructure, databases, mobile technologies, cloud computing, and various standards/frameworks (CoBIT, ITIL, ISO 27000 series, NIST guidance).
• Familiarity with operating systems: mainframe, MS Windows, UNIX, Linux.
• Deep understanding of risk assessment, audit methodology, and IT audit execution.
• Strong time‑management, organizational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with stakeholders.

• Own execution of assigned audit process areas (planning, testing, reporting, remediation) for IS, IT and integrated audits in accordance with standards.
• Plan, execute risk‑based audits, recommend control improvements and prepare audit reports.
• Manage budget, deadlines and provide project updates to management.
• Demonstrate experience in IT/IS controls, business process reviews, and IT general computer controls.
• Ensure deliverables meet guidelines and conclusions are supported.
• Communicate delays or concerns timely to Internal Audit management.
• Partner with process owners to promote continuous improvement.
• Stay current on emerging IT/IS risk issues affecting the bank.
• Maintain understanding of business activities, regulations and associated risks.
