This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, in EL Paso, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Duties- File patient records in a rotary file using terminal digit filing system.
- Type file labels, indexes, patient record cards, mailing labels, medical identification cards and medical warning tags.
- Receive telephone calls.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and other Protected Health Information (PHI) rules and regulations.
- Perform duties as receptionist for patients who must obtain their medical records prior to clinic visit.
- Search, screen and pull a record for scheduled and non-scheduled visits to various clinics and place out guides into file to replace records.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 35 pounds may be required.
