Responsibilities- Perform thorough cleaning and preparation of vehicle bodies and parts, ensuring all surfaces are primed for painting.
- Sand and smooth out rough panels, filling dings and dents where necessary to create a seamless surface.
- Mask and cover areas of vehicles not to be painted, maintaining the integrity of surrounding materials.
- Inspect and ensure all preparation work aligns with company standards before moving vehicles to the painting phase.
- Collaborate with the painting team to understand and execute specific requirements for each project.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, ensuring tools and materials are ready for use.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in maintaining stock of preparation supplies and report any shortages.
- Previous experience in automotive body work and paint preparation is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in sanding, filling, and masking.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify imperfections.
- Physical stamina and the capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
