Assists with the administration and coordination of the EPCHD Continuity of Operations Plan as part of the Emergency Management program and Strategic Business Planning. Responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining all procedures and processes pertaining to the continuity of operations plan (COOP) to ensure the EPCHD can prepare for, and recover from, disasters, emergencies, and business disruptions.

Work Experience:

Three years of work experience in emergency management, business continuity, or related field.

License/Registration/Certification:

Professional certification such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE), Healthcare Business Continuity Management (HBCM), FEMA Continuity Practitioner, or similar preferred.

Education and Training:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.

Skills:

  • Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful business continuity programs.
  • Knowledge of Risk Assessment and Analysis:
    Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments, analyzing data for program improvement.
  • Knowledge and understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and accreditation processes related to business continuity and emergency management.
  • Strong analytical and data capabilities.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses.
  • Ability to develop and implement systems to ensure appropriate management of risk in a complex environment.
