We are working with a well-established construction company in the El Paso market seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who can manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships while partnering closely with Superintendents to deliver successful commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
- Lead buyout, subcontractor procurement, and contract negotiations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and consultants
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with plans
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
- Forecast costs, manage project financials, and protect project profitability
- Identify risks early and proactively implement solutions
- Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
- Oversee project closeout, documentation, and turnover
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects
- Proven experience with ground-up and/or complex commercial builds
- Experience across sectors such as:
- Office
- Retail
- Industrial
- Healthcare
- Hospitality
- Education
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and scheduling
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with construction management software preferred
